3 speed Crank Axle Gear Box - Tamiya

This is a 3 speed crank-axle gearbox kit. Its a cousin of the Twin Motor Gearbox since it is similar to that one but instead has one motor and one extra gear ratio option. This is the most economical of Tamiya's great general purpose gearbox kits. The gearbox housing is made from gray plastic, and features mounting holes compatible with the Universal Plate Set.
The output shafts are steel 3mm hex axles, 10mm long. The included hobby motor runs happily on 3 to 6V and draws up to a few amps. Almost any low voltage motor driver will work nicely with this kit for a small robot build.
