These 2.1mm CLIFF power jacks would be perfect as Burton's first product. They have strong metal nuts that screw on tight outside the enclosure. This means these "outtie" style jacks are great options for those of you trying to cram as much as you can into tight enclosures: Much of the jack is fastened outside the case.
The switched 2.1mm DC power jack is the pedal industry standard for those that build both with battery-powered and power supply options. When a plug is inserted, the battery circuit is opened.
