TIP127 (Transistor, Darlington, PNP, -100V, 65W, -5A)
TIP127 is a PNP BJT darlington transistor. It is a must of have transistor in an electronics lab because it can be used for variety of general purpose applications where you have need for high gain. The transistor can drive load of upto 5A, the collector-emitter voltage of the transistor is 100V due to which it can easily drive load of under 100V DC. Apart from that the maximum DC current gain of the transistor is 1000 and the max collector dissipation is 65W due to which it can also be used in audio and other signal amplification purpose.
This transistor has almost the same features or characteristics compare to the other two transistors of this series which are TIP125, TIP126. The only difference is the collector-base and collector-emitter voltage. But if you are using it in load under 60V then you can also use TIP125 and TIP126 as an accurate replacement for this transistor.
NPN Complementary:
NPN Complementary of TIP127 is TIP122
